Abstract
The patrimony of the IES ‘Maestro Juan de Ávila’ presents three main sections: the archive, with the documents generated since 1843, the "Julia Muela" Museum of Natural Sciences, with an ex-cellent collection of animals naturalized by the best specialists of the XIX and XX (Benedito, Darder, Sánchez Bermejo,…), plaster models from the E. Deyrolle house in Paris; natural history wall plates by A. Comte, boxes of agricultural crops and laboratory equipment for Natural Sciences and Physics and Chemistry; and the "Alfredo Róspide" library with more than 22,000 copies, of which about 4,500 make up the Ancient Collection.
