Laburpena

Nahiz XIX. mendean oraindik aurkitu zitezkeen etxeko euliekiko sentiberatasuna eta enpatia erakusten zuten ipuinak edo poemak, XX. mendean eta orain arteko XXI.ean intsektuok emozio negatiboak eragin dituzte —nazka edo beldurra, adibidez—, filmek edo kontakizunek hauspotuta. Neurri handi batean, mende-aldaketaren inguruan Estatu Batuetan hasi eta, gero, mundu osora zabaldu zen eulien aurkako kanpaina gupidagabe baten ondorio da jarrera-aldaketa hori. Kartel, panfleto, liburu, istorio, erakusketa, hitzaldi, lehiaketa edo filmazioen bidez, etxeetako biztanle kaltegabe —nahiz gogaikarri samar— gisa ikusten ziren euli haiek familia- eta komunitate-hiltzaile gisa erretratatzen hasi ziren. Artikulu honek euliekiko afektuen eraldaketa hauspotu horren mugarriak aztertzen ditu, generoaren dimentsioa aztertuz, eta aldarrikatzen du intsektu horiekiko eta beste batzuekiko estimua berreskuratu beharra eta ekosistemetan betetzen duten rola aitortu beharra dagoela, mehatxupean baitaude intsektuon populazioak.
