The interpretation of the Alcázar of Seville: a didactic experience in a pedagogical journey

Abstract

Students in the 2nd year of the Bachelor's Degree in Teaching at the "Ausiàs March" Teacher Training College of the University of Valencia who have studied the subject "History of the School" during the academic year 2010/11, have developed a particularly innovative didactic methodology for learning it, integrated within the framework of the European Higher Education Area. The subject, which has been conceived as an imaginary journey through the History of Schooling, has culminated in a Pedagogical Journey in which the students have taken part, together with students from the Faculty of Education Sciences of the University of Seville. This trip included an interpretative and didactic visit to the Alcázar of Seville, the description and special features of which are included in this work.
