Abstract

Although it may seem that education and railways are very different things and take place in very distant fields, in this article we try to point out some aspects of its history, its activities and its own essence closely linked to each other.
We present and analyze some data and images the time that goes from the beginnings of school systems, coinciding with the appearance of the railways, until the Great European War from 1914 to 1918: a time of progress. Also a time of trains and schools, which, to use a very railway term, We qualify as pathways to and for progress.
