Abstract
«The nature of landscape» is an artistic project that arose from the doctoral research «El paisaje expandido» and has become an independent initiative that promotes critical art in one of the most depopulated regions of Europe. Located in the Toledo Mountains, an isolated territory that is difficult to access, it proposes the landscape as a space for resistance and reflection, where artistic production is linked to territorial research. Through residencies, exhibitions and meetings, it hosts national and international creators who work in dialogue with the environment, addressing ecological and social issues. Without stable institutional support, its funding has depended on private resources and occasional grants. Its methodology, based on immersion and adaptation to the territory, allows it to question traditional management models and explore new ways of inhabiting the landscape, consolidating art as a critical and transformative tool.
