Abstract

When it has been investigated about University itself, they are also very the past of the universities, of course, we went straight to the university archives. However, these files do not only contain the documentation about the important documents which contain essential information to learn about the history of education in Spain and in each of the provinces of his district beyond the institution itself.

Although until the beginning of the XX Century there were only in 10 provinces, throughout the last century, many universities were opened in several Spanish cities, especially in the last quarter of the century, which have been provided with funds from the previously existing educational institutions to the university and which currently manage and are inside their documentary heritage.
