Vol. 3 No. 2 (2015): Between listening and noise
Listening and noise are the two extremes of sound perception which, paradoxically, tend to short-circuit each other. Both poles communicate and are incommunicating at the same time, in such a way that the more noise we find ourselves with less communicative signal. This question can be approached from the practice of sound creation or from a social perspective, with multiple implications: noise is presented to us as an important presence or as a smokescreen in the face of a mediatised reality.
